The gopher tortoise is a keystone species, meaning other species in an ecosystem largely depend, such that if it were removed the ecosystem would change drastically.

Gopher tortoise burrows provide shelter to over 350 of different animals, ranging from frogs to owls and even endangered indigo snakes. A gopher tortoise will dig several burrows throughout its lifetime, with males in Florida known to dig up to 35 feet.

Great for drying hands, drying dishes, holding a teacup, wrap bread, or just for decoration. They also make a lovely gift!

Ink Process:
Each step of the printing process (rolling ink onto the block and pressing the block onto the towel) is also done by hand so some variance in ink coverage and design placement is expected and adds a uniqueness that I find refreshing. Created by Jess Varrtanian.

Care Instructions:
Wash on cold and tumble dry low/medium heat for longevity of the print.


** Due to the nature of block-printing, there can be and typically are some variations between in the print pattern since each block is printed one by one, therefore some designs may look more faded in some areas than others but that is part of the block-printing charm!
